A silent morning at Peliau beach in Bekenu was a scene of excitement with the arrival of 34 classic cars of Oiltown Classic Car Club (OCCC) from Miri and Brunei Retrocar, with aim to raise fund for the less fortunate Palestinians in Gaza, as well as to strengthen the bond among classic car enthusiasts.

The convoy headed to
Peliau beach at 8am via Miri-Bintulu coastal road, in formation of well-maintained cars manufactured from 1960 to 1985 such as Datsun Sunny, Mazda RX-7, Mercedes Benz W115, Mitsubishi
Lancer, Celeste, Suzuki Alto, Toyota Celica, and Corolla. Ironically, some of
the cars were manufactured before the owner was even born, and the cars managed
to complete the 40-minutes drive smoothly and safely.
OCCC’s spokesperson,
Salleh Said was amazed to get an overwhelming response to the activity, and
would like to express special thanks to Brunei Retrocars and members from
Bintulu for their continuous support.
On the way back, the
convoy stopped by Luak Esplanade to enjoy the sunset, and ended up the activity
there.
The happy participants of the event. Thanks Brunei Retrocar for their continuous support; cool rides and friendly members! Do not forget to pray and make donations for our friends in Gaza.
That's all for now, see you in next chapter for the rides!
