MEMBER: OLD IS GOLD

Meet Corolla's predecessor, the KE10 with pushrod powered engine which was first introduced to the world in 1966. Salleh (in the middle) accompanied by Joseph Ng (right) are damn lucky to find this KE10 in perfect condition. Why did I say perfect? Because this car got all of its parts and accessories as when it went out of Toyota factory in 1960's. Picture taken during meet up with the seller. As you can see, the feeling of buying a car from a careful, first, and veteran owner, is priceless.

If you're going to find a restoration platform, without creating a big hole in your pocket, this is the condition of a car that you have to look for; minimum rusts on chassis and complete bodyparts.

Amazingly, the headlight garnish, grill and bumper are still in perfect shape; and it comes with original flag-type fender mirror too. Ignore the position of the mirror, he's going to fix it soon.

Factory specs chrome wheel hub. A good alternative for aftermarket (-) offset wheels. Bear in mind that Toyota engineers in 1960's designed 110mm PCD for the wheels, so it's a nightmare if you're going to replace them.

Another trademark for Corolla, 'C***' and fender badge.

Chrome body line for oldskools is a must. Notice the excited owner smiling from ear to ear, looking at his new ride.

Straight and shiny bumper and trims. No doubt that the first owner did his best to preserve the condition of this KE10.

That's all for now, see you guys in Part 2. Thanks!
