It is not that sporty, not that aerodynamic. But this is the car that created a fenomena around the world. Everyone loves this uniquely designed Volkswagen Beetle.

FEATURE: WHO DOES'T LOVE AN OEM RA60?
Ignore the exhaust, this RA60 liftback looks like it just came out from Tahara, Aichi factory in 1980s. Original wheels, badges, and garnish are still intact, what a careful hand.

FEATURE: MR. J'S FAST DATSUN

As fast as a bullet, that’s how you describe this 1976 Datsun B110. During high school, I was informed there is an old car which was able to outrun most of fast cars in Miri. That time, I was really tempted to find out which car was that and how fast it could be.

SPOTTED: IMMACULATE SJ40
Spotting a clean SUV in town is something that you can not experience everyday. But this Suzuki Jimny did not fail to impress everyone including me. In India, the Jimny are popularly driven by the police and defense forces so you can often see it on the road. Malaysia in contrast, the Jimny can be considered as rare.

FEATURE: AJIS KE20
Every car lovers out there are likely to hang out with other person of same interest, doesn't matter we know the person before or not before, the topic will always be about cars, spare parts, junkyard, and autoparts shop (and chicks too?). Another great experience to meet Ajis, a friendly guy who owns a superb condition Corolla KE20. Eventually, Ikhwan dropped by few minutes later with his mint condition Volkswagen Beetle. We had a long chat after that.

MEMBER: CHARMING CHARMANT
Daihatsu is a well-known carmaker from Japan and they are really success in term of compact cars or k-car (a Japanese category of small automobiles). When it comes to Daihatsu, a small and economic car best describes it. In contrast with this sedan, boxy shape, long wheelbase, and FR layout (Front engine Rear drive) it is a good attempt by Daihatsu to come out with their second generation Charmant in 1981.

SPOTTED: BMC'S CHICK MAGNET
As the title says, this British icon is still a success since 1959 when Sir Alec Issigonis managed to create a new phenomena around the world with his compact car design. A Front-engine-front-wheel drive layout in 1959 when other carmakers were struggling to improve their front-engine-rear-wheel drive layout? This is what we call designing a car with heart and soul.
By the way, spotted this Mini at one of famous shopping complex in Kuala Lumpur. Kudo's to the owner for having a great example of restoration job.

FROM PAKISTAN WITH LOVE
A best friend of mine from Pakistan, Muhammad Mansoor shared some retros of his journey in Qatar and looks like they are more into muscle cars. I believe it is cool to see the trend of classic cars scene from sovereign country since we are now 'flooded' by Japanese oldskools.
